'10-'11 Portland Trailblazers Roster

So at this point in the off season no one seems to have a clue as to what there roster is going to look like. Although there's a few guys we know aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Roy, Aldridge, Batum, Pendergraph, Camby, Mills, & Matthews. You may have noticed I left out Oden, Although every one around here seems to like him, they're also disappointed in his glass knees. We've had him for 3 years and he's barely played one season total. Don't get me wrong I love G.O. and don't wanna see him go. (sorry) But there's alot of people that do. Rudy, I love watching him play he's so fluid and just dances around the court, he hasn't been playing to his full potential. Rather than the fans trying to back him up and see him progress(they don't seem to realize the difference in styles from here and Europe, sadly neither does he)they hate on him and just want to get rid of him. He's another player that I don't wanna see go but he's now been asking for a trade and alot of the fans have been to. I'll be sad to see him go. With talk of Pryzbilla and Miller being on the fence possibly in a trade for Chris Paul, I think that's ridiculous. Miller has been a steady player for us working well with the team and I really don't think Paul would blend well with the team the way it is, I could be wrong, I could be dead right. I don't know what to say about Pryzbilla, he seems kinda obsolete with Camby and Oden. I guess we'll just have to wait and see next season. Let me know what you think.

Jeffrey Archibald Pendergraph

I don't know if that's his middle name, more than likely not but it sounded cool. So since I have only recently gotten back into sports card collecting since I was a little kid and it was more my dad buying stuff for me, I have been debating over what or who I wanted to collect. I knew I wanted to collect the Portland Trailblazers but what was my first specialty to be, well it has been decided and it is...Jeff Pendergraph. I love the way he plays and I love the energy he exudes, last season being his rookie season he didn't get too many minutes off the bench. Those times he did play, he just ripped up the court. He is pretty beastly when he gets out there his long range game isn't incredible but his inside game is pretty decent and he can dunk with the best of 'em. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the Slam Dunk contest in a few years. Well back to the collecting, I am going to collect as many Pendergraph cards as possible, all Relics and Auto's included. At the Moment I only have 3 cards of him but it seems like a good way to start.

If you have any or come across any Pendergraph cards let me know and I'll try to trade you, or possibly even buy them if its reasonable.

So

It's been about a week since I posted. To me that seems too long, I'd like to talk about the trade I made with TJ from All Your Base Cards Belong To us... I posted a story about some packs I had opened and he said he was interested in some and to check out his trade bait. To my delight I found some fancy Blazer cards and was instantly down for a trade.

I had gotten a Blake Griffin Rookie Jersey Auto, and since he's not a Blazer I had no want for the card and in turn I got 3 Blazer Jerseys. LaMarcus Aldridge(one of my Fav's), Martell Webster(I was sad to see him go but he wasn't quite giving up the goods), and Jarrett Jack(who honestly I had no interest in besides the fact he was a Blazer, but that's good enough)

Thanks TJ for the Trade I look forward to Future Dealings.

Trailblazers win over Hornets 81-69

So I'll start by saying sorry I didn't write about this last night, and I don't have as much to write about this game but I'll put in my 2 cents. First off we won, Awesome. With a soft first quarter Mills said that he felt like they weren't playing to their full potential so he stepped up his game hoping the rest would follow, and they did. Finishing the night with 18 points shooting 6 of 9. Armon Johnson seemed to be a little off shooting 6 of 12 for 15 points. Mills and Johnson are both playing guard trying to get their spot on the team for next season, the only problem is they play really well together with their different styles complimenting each other it's hard to say which is the better choice.Dante Cunningham had a pretty decent night with 14 points. And my boy Jeff Pendergraph with 11.

Schedule says there was a scrimmage tonight against the Wizards but I couldn't find anything about it. Let you know when I do.

Trailblazers win over Rockets 84-67

Given it is summer league, but who doesn't like to hear that their team won. I didn't watch the game, I don't even know if it was broadcast anywhere. Doubtful. However the Blazers beat the Rockets at Cox Pavilion at UNLV. Patty Mills played his first extensive minutes since breaking his ankle just before last years summer league was set to start. Almost getting a Triple-Double just in the first 26 minutes, Go you tiny aborigine man. With Babbitt and Johnson on the summer league team, I think it's a great way to get them a bit of a feel for the team before the next season. Now I haven't forgotten about Jeff Pendergraph, he's my boy. He may have just been a rookie last season and didn't get all that much playing time, but when he did play he tore up the court. I can't remember if it was the second or third to last game when we had already clenched our playoff seed. We played alot of rookies and 3rd or 4th or even 5th stringers, and in the first half Pendergraph had 9 dunks, yeah 9, just in the first half and they were some pretty beastly dunks at that. He just exudes energy, how often do you see a rookie leading the pregame chant. I know it seems like a small thing but that's one of the things I like about Portland, you don't do something because of who you are, you do something because of what you can do. I can't wait to see what he does as a Sophomore.
